Lots to do at Exmouth Festival
A ten-day festival from May 27 to June 5 in Exmouth will be brimming with activities that all the family can get involved with, from music, to art, theatre and treasure trails.
If you are staying in one of our holiday homes in South Devon, take a day out to the Exmouth Festivals at the end of the May to explore many of the festivities that will be held across the town – there will be something for all the family.
Carla Hiley, Exmouth’s art manager, said “We’re covering all areas of music and culture, as well as getting it spread throughout the town.
“I think it’s more of a mix [than previous years]. We’ve got Twelfth Night in Manor Gardens, we’ve got a jazz evening and an evening just for local musicians. It’s a nice mixture.”
One of the many highlights of the festival will be an interactive trail, featuring artists, crafts, knitters, photographers and poets who will be displaying their work across the town. The streets will become a walk-around art gallery exhibiting work from Exmouth artists and the community.
The Festival is being held over the Bank Holiday and Half Term holiday, so it is a perfect time for families to take part in the events. Some of the activities over the whole ten days include live music acts, a circus jamboree, trade stands selling local produce, workshops for children, jazz bands, folk singing, Morris dancing and lots more. Check out what’s on when here.
